Ben Kweller at Cains

Arrived about 645 doors at 7 There were maybe 15 people in line, How does that happen? ICP gets more people so sad.... Opening band, well act, Tim Fite was interesting. He was dressed and had a demeanor of a southern snake oil or bible salesman. He rapped some and sang some. His brother was in charge of the laptop that played most of the music parts and had a video projected behind him. I bought his cd which he gladdy autographed so I will listen to it an digest it more. Onto Ben! First song was "How It Should Be (Sha Sha)" and you could tell it was going to be a good night. You could also tell there had been some pre-show beverages couple that with the 3 tequila shots he did on stage Ben was plastered. He covered Garth Brooks "Friends In Low Places" then Roger Millers "Chugalug". He also did Metallicas "Enter Sandman" which later out by the bus said he didn't remember doing. We did get a glimpse of the set list which listed Lizzy. He committed that the crowd was to rowdy for that and went to his more rock, loud songs. It was one of the better shows I have seen of BK! Great sound lots of crowd interacting. This was the first show I have seen at Bob's the Cains side stage it has a very small stage and we were right up front very close to the action. A very good setlist of songs off all three albums. Minus Lizzy he played all my favorites. Even got to meet Ben after the show. He talked to everyone there with a lot of drunk hugs and I love yous, He dropped his water and I picked it up and handed to him he couldn't believe how fast I was... Good thing he was on a bus and not driving. He also mention that he has a new country album coming out in the new year and that it kicks ass...

Here are some picture, videos will come when I get them uploaded to youtube
